If you have changed your Wifi modem or changed your Wifi password, you may notice that your inverter is no longer connected to the internet, and your plant will be showing as offline in your app. It is important that you keep your inverter connected to the internet so we can easily troubleshoot issues for you remotely. The good news is that it is a simple process to reconnect your logger. You will need an iPhone or an iPad. If you don’t have one, you can borrow one from a friend or a family member just to assist you with setting up your inverter.
- Firstly, get in touch with our team, and we will unbind your current logger and grant you access to edit your plant.
- Once the inverter and logger have been unpaired, you will need to pair your new modem. Locate the Wifi dongle at the bottom of your inverter. It should have 3 lights, a QR code, a serial number, and a password. It looks like this:
- Using an iPhone or an iPad, in the Solarman app, select your plant and click the 3 dots in the top right corner. Click on Add a Logger.
- On the next screen, enter the 10 digit SN from your logger, then click Add.
- Once the logger has been successfully added, click Go to Configure.
- On the next screen, select your home Wifi, and enter your home Wifi password
- Once your home Wifi has been connected, you will need to set up the logger. Go into the Wifi settings on your phone or tablet, and you will see your 10 digit SN as an available network. Connect to the network, and enter the password located on the logger.
- Once you are connected to the inverter’s network, open up a web browser and type in 10.10.100.254. The log in for this portal is username: admin, and password: admin.
- In the navigation column on the left, you will see the option WIZARD. Click on this option, and you will be able to find your home Wifi. Select your home Wifi, then click next. Type in your home Wifi password, continue to click next when prompted and finally OK to restart and apply settings.
- If the modem is within range and the password is correct, all 3 of the display lights should go out for 2 seconds and come back on again with the NET light solid green. If the NET light is solid green, you have successfully paired the inverter’s Wifi to your home Wifi. Wait a few minutes before refreshing the app.
